Antumbra began to take shape over a decade ago in a small town called Chillicothe, MO, the home of sliced bread, with several compositions from Drew and some of his close friends and has marinated in the sauce of Missouri's vast music scene ever since. As life circumstances changed, Drew moved to the Kansas City area in early 2007 and started searching for musicians to launch the project in the fall. By mid January we had a new band. Their first gig was a stellar performance at Wakarusa's "Waka Winter Classic" January 26th, 2008 at Davey's Uptown Ramblers Club in Kansas City, MO. Through that gig the band made new friends with some of KC's best jam bands like Grazgrove, Brother Bagman and Dobson Hall of which members of can be seen jammin with Antumbra now and then.

Antumbra, formerly The Shadows and Flames Project, has gone through several musicians since it's inception and continues to grow and morph in style and approach. After a brief hiatus and restructuring Antumbra is back with a new line up and better than ever!
